UNIQUE DESIGNS:

Warm Buddy Company has designed heat packs based on years of knowledge and experience, consumer trends and customer feedback. Many designs, such as the Ultra Body Wrap, have stood the test of time changing very little since their inception. New designs are continually being created and tested. The Ultra Shoulder Wrap and Aromatherapy Sleep Mask are products that were created to better fit the contours of a specific body part, and increase the overall comfort and therapeutic benefits.

SUPERIOR CONTENTS:

Warm Buddy heat wraps use natural milled rice as the core heating component for its Ultra Body Wrap, Shoulder Wraps, Warming Pillows, Neck Wraps and Body Wraps. Rice has the perfect weight, and moisture content to create a product that combines both acupressure and moist penetrating heat. Each of our products is aromatherapy scented using only the finest and pure lavender flowers, and essential oils. Our products are available unscented if desired.

Safety issues with microwavable products that contain flax, wheat, buckwheat.

A great concern to us is the use of flax as both a heating component in heat wraps and in products that could be used by children. Flax is a seed that contains oil that dries out over time and it has a relatively small moisture content. The reduced moisture content affects the heat holding ability of flax packs. The user tends to heat their flax pack for longer periods of time to regain the same level of heat when the product was new. The combination of over heated flax products and low moisture content makes the hazard of fire more likely.

There is a safety concern regarding the use of seeds in children's products (rice is not a seed). The reason for this is that seeds can germinate. If a seed was to be inhaled it could sprout inside a lung or nasal cavity. This ruling can be found in the "Industry Guide to Canadian Safety Requirements for Children's Toys and Related Products, 2006".

Please note that Warm Buddy Company does use flax seeds in our Aromatherapy Eye Pillows and Sleep Masks. As heat holding is not as important flax is used in eye applications. Products designed for eye use are not intended to be heated in the same way as our larger heat packs. These products are not intended for children's use.

MOIST HEAT :

Moist penetrating heat is what makes a Warm Buddy heat pack so effective. Simply heat Warm Buddy products in the microwave for the instructed amount of time. No other product holds a deep moist penetrating heat as long. Even after years of daily use a Warm Buddy heat wrap will still provide long lasting moist heat. Warm Buddy products can also be used as cold packs to treat swelling, head aches, and aching muscles.

SOOTHING COLD :

Warm Buddy products are usually associated with heat. However, they are also effective and comfortable cold packs versus gel freezer packs which hold an intense freezing cold. Gel packs can be uncomfortable to use. Warm Buddy's generate soothing coolness to ease head and stomach aches, puffy eyes, or a variety of pains and injuries, or just cool down on a hot day. A Warm Buddy should be kept in a plastic bag in the freezer.

ACUPRESSURE:

Warm Buddy heat wraps are generously filled allowing for longer heat holding. The weight provides a relaxing acupressure effect. The heavier weight of a Warm Buddy heat pack helps it stay firmly in place and aids in getting the heat or cold to the source of the pain or stress.

AROMATHERAPY:

Many Warm Buddy heat products are aromatherapy scented. Only pure essential oils and natural herbs and flowers are used. Allergies and sensitivity to Warm Buddy products are rare, due to the use of pure ingredients. The heating component has a neutral order and does not taint the aromatherapy used in Warm Buddy warm-up products.

Warm Buddy warm-up animals are unscented due to allergy concerns with children. It is recommended to add pure essential oils after heating if aromatherapy is required. Use of aromatherapy in children's products was discontinued due to allergy concerns. To date no allergic reactions or sensitivities have been reported with Warm Buddy products.

DESIGNER COVERS :

The fabrics used in the creation of Warm Buddy heat wraps and covers is of the highest quality. The use of the softest faux furs, chenilles and velvets and elegant silks add to the Warm Buddy experience. Most Warm Buddy heat wraps have removable covers that can be hand or machine washed.

With more than 11 years in business, and thousands of Warm Buddy heat wraps, heat packs, eye pillows and warm up animals in circulation, many of which are used on a daily basis, the company has an outstanding safety record. When used as directed, no problems have ever been reported.

All Warm Buddy heat packs, heat wraps, eye pillows, slippers and throws are proudly designed and made in Canada. Packaging is designed and printed in Canada. Local manufacturing of products keeps the quality at its absolute highest and generates opportunities for employment in the community.
